Terms and Conditions
Last updated: December, 2025
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OnChain Trips mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.
1. About OnChain Trips
OnChain Trips is a travel management application that allows users to create, manage, organize, and share trip-related information, including trip names, dates, destinations, expenses, roadmaps, comments, images, and other content voluntarily added by users.
Certain parts of the Service may use decentralized infrastructure and external service providers to provide authentication, storage, notifications, media handling, synchronization, and other app functionality.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
3. Account and Authentication
You may need to create or access an account to use certain features of the Service. Authentication may be provided through supported login methods, including third-party authentication providers such as Google.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account. You agree to notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. User Content
You are responsible for any content you create, upload, share, or store through the Service, including trip information, descriptions, comments, expenses, destinations, images, and other user-generated content ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by using the Service, you grant OnChain Trips a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, transmit, and otherwise use your User Content only as necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
You agree not to upload, create, or share content that:
- is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading;
- infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property or privacy rights;
- contains malware, malicious code, or attempts to disrupt the Service;
- contains sensitive personal data of others without their permission;
- violates any applicable law or regulation.
5. Trips, Collaboration, and Sharing
The Service may allow you to create trips, invite collaborators, manage co-travelers, add expenses, add destinations, create roadmaps, and share trip information publicly or privately.
You are responsible for ensuring that any people you invite or reference through the Service have given any required permission for their information to be used. If you enable public sharing features, anyone with access to the shared link may be able to view the information made available through that link.
6. Calendar and Third-Party Integrations
The Service may offer optional integrations with third-party services, such as Google Calendar. If you choose to connect a third-party service, you authorize OnChain Trips to access and use that service only to the extent necessary to provide the integration you enabled. In the current Google Calendar setup step, this means read-only access to your calendar list so you can review available calendars and choose the calendar that may receive future trip events.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. OnChain Trips is not responsible for the availability, security, functionality, or actions of third-party services.
7. Payments, Subscriptions, and External Purchases
The OnChain Trips mobile application does not process payments inside the app. Any purchases, subscriptions, premium features, or paid services may be handled externally through our website or other supported channels.
Paid features may be subject to additional terms, pricing, limits, renewal rules, cancellation rules, or refund conditions presented at the time of purchase. You are responsible for reviewing those conditions before completing any purchase.
8. Digital Assets and Blockchain Features
Some features of the Service may interact with decentralized networks, blockchain infrastructure, tokens, wallets, or other digital asset functionality. These features may involve technical risks, including transaction delays, network fees, irreversible transactions, loss of access credentials, smart contract or canister errors, and third-party infrastructure failures.
OnChain Trips does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions when using any blockchain-related feature.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service except where permitted by law;
- use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or fraudulent content;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization.
10. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
We may add, remove, or change features, limits, pricing, integrations, or supported platforms over time.
11. Data and Account Deletion
You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Some data may remain where retention is required for legal, security, accounting, backup, dispute resolution, or technical reasons. Certain decentralized or blockchain-based records may be difficult or impossible to modify or delete once written.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, branding, software, features, interface, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to OnChain Trips and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to the OnChain Trips brand, trademarks, software, or other intellectual property except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnChain Trips disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that trip information, routes, prices, destinations, recommendations, integrations, notifications, or other content will be accurate, complete, available, or suitable for your needs.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnChain Trips shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, digital assets, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users or the Service, or used the Service unlawfully or abusively.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply after termination where necessary, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where OnChain Trips is operated, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise. This section should be reviewed and completed based on the legal entity or jurisdiction under which OnChain Trips operates.
